Will never happen. But many here will be legitimately unhappy at having one less thing to whine about online if the Texans make what is perceived to be a good hire.
Lol, have you ever hired a search firm to find a leader? I have many times. They present candidates — they don’t make a final recommendation. It simply doesn’t work that way. Some of this criticism is just really forced and flawed…
i think the Texans have given the fans plenty to whine about given their terrible mismanagement of the team. But I for one am super excited about the candidates they’ve interviewed. Most GM’s don’t get to hire 3 coaches in 3 years, but here’s to hoping the 3rd time’s the charm for Casario…and for all of the fans’ sake.
Consulting firm recommends a minority… TJ has issues. Prefers Easterby’s recommendation. Predictable AF.
Huh? You clearly don’t understand how search firms work… I call you out on it… and then you play the race card? Nice try to salvage a real bad take!
And he doesn’t deny it! The Texans have used consultants routinely since their franchise inception. From Casserly to Kubiak to BOB, all were search firm reccomendations. They pivoted thanks to Easterby’s influence. I see you already voiced your displeasure at the Astros GM hire that was universally praised… I wonder why?
What scenario has to happen where we could get one more look at a 2nd Steichen interview before Demeco? Or who do we think Demeco is gonna bring to call plays?
Lol… Dan Reeves was brought in by the Texans to serve as a consultant. https://www.espn.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2256872 They’ve also used Tony Dungy in recent years.
It could be one of the Kubiak boys or a guy like Thomas Brown. But I think DeMeco could opt for a seasoned play caller like a Darrell Bevell, Matt Nagy, Greg Olson or unfortunately Anthony Lynn. The possibility also exists that DeMeco retains Pep Hamilton
