I wonder what specifically it is about the Suns that makes him want to go there. I never got the impression that EG and CP were especially close. And as far as I can tell, the team culture isn't great (bickering btwn players and coaches and all that). Beyond that, EG and Monty Williams have a checkered history with public shouting matches when Williams was coaching New Orleans and EG was playing there.

Phoenix over Philly? I guess he likes CP3 more than Harden.

When the rebuild started, Eric Gordon told the Rockets front office he wanted to be traded unless they extended him. There were discussions of an extension but it didn’t happen.

If the Rockets buy out Gordon, it will just operate as more proof that the Rockets front office under Tilman and Stone are a hot mess. We can’t fire Tilman but there is no reason to not fire Stone and Silas.

The Sixers are already really guard heavy.

Harden, Melton, and Maxey are all significantly better than Gordon at this stage of his career. . Where will he fit in that rotation. In Phoenix he will get big minutes at SG and SF backup minutes. Hell he might start over Torey Craig at SF … Plus he played for Monty Williams in New Orleans before

From all angles this situation is pointless. Everyone knows this is a dumb idea except Stone. This is the emperors new clothes.

I would pay to watch Bev make guys run away from our locker room at half time.

This is sad and funny at the same time.

Stone has ****ed up this roster beyond repair at this point.

We have had ZERO roster turnover since October and we are the worst team in the league with a GM that doesn't want to trade.

Eric Gordon is a net negative to our team, you can't play 3 SGs who all want to shoot and dribble, you can get by with 2, but not 3.

Let EGo go......try to get something for him, sure, but if I were GM he would have played his last game with the Rockets.

Until today, I had no idea that was Eric Gordon shooting that shot.

Eric Gordon’s heart is already in Phoenix (flashback to 2015)

guy was hyped as the cornerstone by the suns back when he signed with them as a restricted free agent. he's been a sun in heart since then whatever jersey he wears. Even in his prime he was hardly considered a franchise player by any one of the other 29 teams.

Stone is a master at asset mismanagement hiding behind his obedient scapegoat, Silas.

Guy went from "multiple 1sts" being offered for him to buy out.

Same with Wall for Westbrick last year. Lakers would've easily given us multiple 2nds but instead we get a buyout to save Tilman some money.

Good for Eric for putting pressure on the org, he had every right to earlier. Of course this doesn't mean he will actually get bought out, and the Rockets need to be communicating that to Phoenix if Eric is backchanneling there. I dont think that is a serious threat, Houston will be able to get something for him and Phoenix knows that. Go and get a few seconds and call it a day.
