I know clutchfans be drinking coffee. What grinder and machine are yall using? Thinking of picking up a Breville Bambino Plus..plus a Eureka grinder...
I use a moccamaster brewer and an electric burr grinder (no clue the brand) for beans. I use two tablespoons of whole beans for each 6 oz of filtered water. Make sure to wash the carafe and coffee ground strainer with regular water after every use, and wipe down with a paper towel if excessively oily. Beans don't matter as much for me.
I would love to be coffee dude but there is no way I am spending that kind of money or spending that amount of time for a cup of coffee. At least I have not yet. This should be an interesting and educating thread.
Same here. I'm half asleep when I drink coffee most of the time. Let's talk about Japanese tea ceremonies next.
I have so many snobby man-toys -> OLED TVs, dolby atmos surround, 4k HDR monitors, 4 post car lift, sous vide, etc... if I don't keep a snobby coffee toy around it helps me explore and enjoy the neighborhood. Recently I biked to the coffee bar - pretty good. But man I REALLY want some snobby coffee toys to play with. My favorite drink lately has been the espresso martini. The taste is good, but more importantly, it keeps me going instead of putting me down when I'm out late.
I have been tracking the prices of a few multi thousand dollar espresso machines on camelcamelcamel for a few years. Have not pulled the trigger though.
Bambino Plus is $500 but I saw it on sale for 350-400 at best buy recently. Forgot to buy in time... The Eureka grinder is about 450. 800-850 for the setup.
lol same....OLED, surround, 38" ultrawide, quickjack for the car (really want a real lift...which one do you have?)
Keurig c0ck with re-usable pods, Costco organic Ruta Maya coffee dark roast, old school 1980s Krups grinder, pack that ****
My house I'm set up for... Quick and easy - Nespresso machine Big, more complicated, but tasty - Breville Barista Touch Preferred setup - French press (I use a Cuisinart grinder) Occasional - Turkish on the stovetop No lie, I never cared about coffee at all until I rewatched Twin Peaks back in 2013, Agent Cooper's coffee obsession got to me. David Lynch is really good at warping the mind.
Bendpak hd-9swx with approach ramps + drip trays (old Corvette). Also epoxy garage floor and work bench + storage. You'd almost think I was a REAL man, but I assure you I am not. I get scared engaging the air compressor to raise the lift, lolz.
Man I don't have a high enough garage for that. do send me your epoxy person contact though. need to get it done.
I'm a snob and a nerd about a lot of culinary things, but for whatever reason coffee just isn't one of them. Love a good cup, but I've just never been that particular (as long as it's not crap). Yall should educate me in this thread.
