Wednesday 3/10- I liked the movies from the 1990s so why not? I was intrigued for the first 20 minutes, but then it turned into a lame Scooby mystery. I gave it 4 and a half episodes. They should have kept the setting in a public school. And if Wednesday is Latina like the actress says, why isn't her name Miercoles? I'll tell you why. Because Netflix still wants to appeal to white suburban moms who think The New Girl is the best show ever created. Which brings me to... The New Girl- 10/10. Greatest TV comedy of the 2010s! Late to the party on this one. I'm two seasons in but I can't stop binging . Every single line coming out of Schmidt's mouth is so inappropriately hilarious. If you loved HIMYM, this one is even better. There is no outdated laugh track. Who issss that girl? It's Jesssss! ha!
I loved the New Girl as well I stopped watching over the last 2 seasons it was getting a bit too ridicules, but I need to actually finish it. Schmidt is a very underrated character, he makes me giggle constantly. You up for a game of True American?
If you liked Squid Games, Alice in Borderland is back with season 2 on Netflix today. Watching that and also ironically Life Below Zero on Disney Plus.
I am watching season 1 now, and I am enjoying the show a lot, I could not get into squid game but really like this. I think the figuring out of the puzzles is what is the difference and the no one is safe aspect really ratched up the intensity, some major surprises early one.
Really enjoyed Alice in Borderland when it came out but felt like it was better as a one off series. Finally finished Hunter X Hunter…. Really great anime with its up and downs…. Had some DBZ moments where the action get strung out with lots of extra exposition. However, lots of great characters and great arcs. I liked the ending
Has anyone bothered to watch The Witcher prequel? I got through a total of 7 minutes and totally understood why Henry is walking away from the franchise.
This does not give me a lot of excitement to finish, but I have been avoiding watching series that are more than 2 seasons.
Watched In The Dark on Amazon only 4 episodes and really 2 two part episodes, some good acting and plot lines.
I just finished that as well, I would give it a solid rating as well. I am really becoming a Charlie Cox fan.
I loved the old 80's/90's tv show Night Court, and was surprised to hear there was a re-boot of sorts where Melissa Rauch of Big Bang Theory fame plays Harry Stone's daughter and is also a judge. I may give it a watch if for no other reason than Night Court was one of my fave tv shows of all time. I can't believe so many of the cast have passed on. The first episode airs in 2 weeks :
I have become a huge Call The Midwife fan I have been watching it for a couple of years but It has currently moved into the top 5 things I want to watch. Yes, the storylines can be sappy, but I love that they create storylines around historic events and the acting is top-notch as well as pretty inclusive. I am currently going back, watching some of the early seasons, and it just helps me enjoy the show more. Should I be looking for some testosterone replacement?
