No interest in the guy who thought getting rid of AJ Brown was a good idea.

I dont put all the winning on Robinson. Mike Vrabel has done A HELL OF A JOB there. What about Robinsons track record in the draft - do you view that favorably? He arrived in 2016 so Im not sure if King Henry was his pick or not, but that was a homerun of course. Neither 1st round pick from 2017 is with the team anymore. His 2018 1st round pick now plays for Atlanta. Jeffery Simmons is a nice player from 2019. I already mentioned how he ousted his gem that draft in AJ Brown. His 1st round tackle in 2020 plays on another team. HIs 2021 1st rounder is looking like a bust. Still too early to tell about his last draft class, but it seems to be Meh. Take a look at his free agent signings and its another list of eye raisers.

Not at all sold on the guy and wouldnt put hardly the emphasis on winning due to his ability as a GM.

What's the benefit to bringing him in?
1- Nick should be good enough to do the job alone, and if he needs this guy to prop him up then I don't want a gm reliant on a strong assistant.
2- I don't want another regime where we argue player X was a Nick guy or a Jrob guy. It also provides another fall guy (against Cal or public opinion) to keep the heat off of Nick if he fails to show improvement. Aren't you tired of telling people that Lovie wasn't a Nick guy?
3- Nick is still unproven as hell and I don't want him accruing more office influence by bringing in cronies.
4- Why would he take a demotion unless he's fishing to take over? He already has the stronger track record

For these NFL GMs, the seat might be getting hot

He needs to play. He’s still a huge unknown.

I don’t know about very good but he did throw a TD. Went into the game late. He wasn’t accurate in college and you usually don’t get better going to a higher level. I don’t see how you trade a high draft pick.

Sign Lamar, build out the DL and OL, get a stud WR next year. Accelerate the rebuild.
