I don't think DeMeco Ryans is ready for head coaching job.

He has no coaching experience to be intrigued by. It would be yet another stupid Texans decision.

Don't lower the bar to lump Vrabel's lack of experience to be anywhere near McCowns lack of experience. Vrabel was a positions coach for multiple years and DC for one year. McCown joined the team in November 2020 and interviewed in January 2021. This dude wasn't even on the team for 6 months AS A PLAYER before he tried interviewing in January 2021 for the head coaching job.

Intriguing is the best word that can be offered because it's the closest thing to a positive that can be said about this guy. With Vrabel as a DC there was already talk of his charisma or leader of men being thrown about.

McCown has NO shot at an NFL HC job. He is trying to skip steps in the process....LOL. Easterby is gone.

I don't disagree with you, but if an NFL team asked me to interview for a head coaching position, I'm not going to tell them I didn't go through the proper chain of command, and that I don't want to interview.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

McCown’s old teammates rave about him…I assume he too is charismatic and a leader of men. And 20 yrs as a professional qb has got to count for something. But I agree if he wants to be a head coach he should be assistant for a year or 2 just to see if he wants to deal with the 80 hour work weeks and managing several unique personalities.

If the offense lays yet another turd today he needs to be let go immediately after the game. Let Ben McDaniels call the plays the rest of the season.

Yes, we can afford to fire Lovie. Forget all the factors at play, a 1 win season is justification for just about any course of retribution.

2 years away from being competitive sounds a lot like, "We're going to roll with the staff we have for 2 years."

Hope that's not the case because this staff will ruin any quarterback brought in to replace Mills.
