What does this even mean? Lame attempts at insults aren't going to change my view. It's an opinion. We all got em. I'm over here agreeing with you that he's in a BAD funk rt now and hoping the team can build some chemistry and help get him out of it and you're ripping me for it. Classic
I see how ultra-competitive he is on the inside. That will eventually display on the court too. He is still getting used to the league. Only 19. He's a perennial All Star and the hype is real.
It is tough, he was a dead eye shot in college but his release in the pros is slow, comes from the hip on his 3pt shot makes, and misses when it starts higher up....and he just doesn't seem to do much else....either on O or D....not a great rebounder, or shot blocker, is decent on switching D, but not great......and he is ICE cold on shots..... Honestly, it is way to early to say, but he has been awful to start his career. DD
Wembanyama and Jabari Smith as Shot Blocking Tandom is going to be a Nightmare for Teams Plus Alperen Sengun, Bruno Fernando off the Bench as a Brute Force and Power Post Ups
His usefulness will be capped by how good his teammates are. Paired up with a Harden type player, he would be perfect but if Houston can't draft, acquire or develop someone to be that player, the team is going nowhere with Jabari as a centre piece of the team.
facts if I was coaching he would definitely be looking at Cliff Robinson videos maybe even Dave DeBusschere. I like Jabari for what his defense versatility offers. He can play anywhere on the front court.
Impressive how much better he’s gotten. He seems to take 2 steps forward consistently, and he doesn’t seem to regress much even when he does. Kudos to Jabari Smith!
He can sort of get his own shot now but I am more comfortable with him playing in the shadows of 2 legit stars. In the long run. KD also never needed tons of shots to get his numbers. Probably a lite version without handles.
Right on! With the young players, it was always going to be about their improvement game to game, year to year. That's literally the reason we value "potential" so much. And this is why JG has been so disappointing. Our young players are so young, they don't have to be great today if they're just showing flashes and continue getting better. Jabari has been that so far in the first half of his second year. Looking forward to his post-All Star 2nd year and finally the BREAKOUT 3rd year!
