Well the consolation prize is New Orleans can swap draft picks with Lakers so they would have to give Wemby to the Pelicans

With that being said the team isn’t getting the ball to Smith and it may be a mixture of unfamiliarity and lack of trust. Remember this offense is heavily based on players decision making and a free flow system. KPJ and Sengun and Greeb to an extent ignores Smith. Coaching and players have to get him to his spots which are the elbows where he posts or squares up or low block. Maybe run pick and pops with him more. The offense which is controlled by players in Silas read react 4 or 5 out system seems to play 4 on 5 ball moving away from Smith as an option. Coach not good team not good. End of story

    I have seen enough.

    Kevin Porter experiment is disaster.

Dude has poor basketball IQ and still is selfish ball hogger!

He is the cancer of team chemistry!

Man his confidence is shot. I know he feels horrible playing behind Nix.

It becomes easy to ignore Smith when he shoots 20 percent on open shots. At some point you jusf stop force feeding him

He's shooting 46% from the field and 37% from downtown. I'd rather have him shooting the whole day than turning the balls over.

I think he pretty much had that green light most of the season...and the only time he sniffed 20 points was the first game of the season. Look at his stats. The majority of his shots have been with nobody within 4-6 feet of him, and his shooting percentage on those shots is horrible. He's just snakebit. Maybe with time he'll snap out of it like Jalen seems to have. They parked Jalen's butt out by the 3 to let him learn without taking on too much responsibility, too, when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. You can only hope it works for Jabari, too.

It'd be good for his development for him to miss 30 shots to get to 20 points?

Trust issues as i said. That does not reflect well on the team if that’s the case. You trust your team mates because thats all you have on the court is each other.

SilASS needs to grow some balls and experiment with another starting five

    Sengun
    Eason
    Martin
    Green
    Porter

Have Jabari play with the second unit to build his confidence.

No, just to be the main guy for a game and let everyone else work around him. Right now he's an after thought and I think it's affecting him mentally.

Nobody trusts you when every open shot they give you is a brick. That's like saying people who don't let Westbrick brick 3's is because of trust issues.

Jabari is doing the right thing by limiting his own shots. He will have to find his rhythm in practice or something

I fail to see how Jabari can be the main guy when he doesnt dribble the ball, doesn't post up and doesn't slash. What does that even mean to play around Jabari Smith. To let him dribble down and heave contested 3's.

Jabari just needs to be played like a PJ Tucker at this point until he can find his shot or something
