Kinda expected this though. Also why isn’t the Philly’s payroll talked about more. They are paid like they should be in at least playoffs every year and WS.

 

Dusty is managing this like a June regular season game. In the World Series, every inning is a separate, high intensity event. If a pitcher is struggling or fatiguing, he has to come out RIGHT THEN. All norms have to go out the window. You should not assume that a starter should go 5 innings. A starter should go for only as long as he is VERY EFFECTIVE. Especially in the case of the Astros, where they have literally the deepest pitching staff in baseball. Dusty should have turned this into a bullpen game immediately after Harper's 2-run HR.

There is just no excuse for how Dusty managed this game. Awful. And people wonder why he has never won the big one.
