I concur with the thread. Jalen Green is "the one" and I expect him to be a top 5 player as soon as 2023-2024 or 2024-2025.
Of course, the "what about"s that come with the Jalen threads. First it was Corey Brewer. Then it was Jordan Clarkson. Then Tyler Herro. Now it's Bradley Beal and Zach Lavine. It's only been ONE season. Can you see how fast these comparisons are getting destroyed? Let's play along anyway. Zach Lavine's second season: 14 points on 11 shots to go with 3 asst, 2 to. No defense whatsoever. Lavine's third season: 19 points on 15 shots plus 3 assists to 1.8 TO's. Hints of defense. Are you feeling confident that Jalen Green's second season won't blow Lavine's out of the water?
What's the reasoning behind: we must do so and so to prove that it's going to be a dynasty after that? What if we win 35 games and miss the play ins for example, would it not be some kind of amazing sign that the youngest rotation in the league outperformed their expected win total by 50%? How many times does a rotation that young with a GM trying EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to tank win 30-35 games? We're in the revolution stage. The dynasty follows. There are still major chapters to clear of course.
I voted 20-29 since the 82-0 option was unavailable. Edit: About time chapter 4 dropped! By the time contract extension rolls around I expect at least 20 chapters!
Feels good. Shout out to all the fans who stood firm with Jalen even when he was the “worst player in the NBA” hopefully he reaches above average starter status this year! Lol
Pre season is meaningless. The year the Sun's went to the finals I think they lost all the pre season games.
Cool story, I almost read it. Skimming through it though you made a mistake. Jalen is Jabari's sidekick.
so what days are the new episodes of chapter 4 coming out on? how many episodes for ch4? i may decide to just binge
Green was always advertised as a “walking bucket” and he’s shown it at the end of last season and this preseason. Scores efficiently and easily and we are also seeing better strength as he goes to the rim. As other have said it’s his age that’s tantalizing. So young to be so good what’s he going to look like at age 25? I could easily see him as a top 5 player and taking over as the face of the NBA post LeBron, Curry, Durant etc. IDK if he will reach Kobe level but he’s definitely going to be better than Lavine or Beal. I think he challenges for an all star selection this year and he should be around top 20 by the following.
