Just remembered Tatis plays in San Diego. So if San Diego wins sometime in the future and Tatis is playing is it tainted?
The quickest way to a baseball writer’s heart is to bring up the Astros sign-stealing scandal (and make no mention of any other team who did it).
that’s true. I’m going to go to Seattle for the playoffs. I live in Portland and am praying for Seattle. That’s where I got those in 2017.
I think he was influential in popularizing the MAR's Nut Bar. Did he get a kickback? ps This is totally satire, which places it in the comfortable middle of Sports Articles and TV Segments.
His explanation was HILARIOUS. I'm sure MLB has no problem welcoming him back with the past forgiven.
Can’t wait for Joe to now go on the IL randomly any time the padres are playing the Astros in the future.
Nope, because only Houston teams/accomplishments can be tainted, or at least that's what I've been told by the sports media.
The Astros had a likeable team. So there was no nit picking back then. National Media turned on the Astros right about the time Verlander said the baseball were juiced; publicly. I was in working in Dallas when the Astros were winning their World Series, and the Dallas sports radio guys were so bummed out, about how the Astros were poised to be good for a really long time, and there was not one unlikable star on the team (so how you couldn’t help but root for them as individuals).
