Remember when Dusty needed to be fired because he refused to bench Gurriel?

 

Dusty's best move, IMO, was pinch hitting Hensley for Dubon. Not so sure I agreed with pinch hitting for Chas, especially considering we burned Diaz and got Dubon, but remember, without Hensley, Pena doesn't get to bat. And without Pena there's no Alvarez walk off.

 

And that feels like input he got from the FO- don’t let Dubon hit. Under any circumstances. During the regular season we’d have lost this game 3 up 3 down in the 9th with Dubon making the second out of the inning.

 

Or maybe in the regular season he prioritized harmony and making players feel valued over scratching out every last win for a team running away with their league.

Dusty’s way worked well in the regular season and he was great last night. Let’s give them man some love.

Would love to see the Yuli vindication tour continue. As much crap as a lot of people gave Baker for continuing to play Yuli; he came up big this seriess. .400/.400/.600 with a 189 wRC+

 

And what has Cora done since? Absolutely nothing. He had Mookie Betts. Once he lost him, Cora has not been good.
