With all the Aaron Judge talks...he can play CF, let's go ahead and make a run at him just to say F-U yankees.

I like the idea. I'm not sure who HE considers his regulars. That bothers me.

I'd love a prove it, incentive laden contract. He will always be an injury risk, but he's certainly an asset when he's healthy.

That said, there are a whole lot of players fighting for an active roster spot next year. But not many are good lefty hitters.

Chaz has sucked vs RHP (.652 OPS), so I understand not wanting to start him against them. Dubon and his (checks notes) .454 OPS vs RHP is clearly a great alternative.

If they want to roll the dice and see what Meyers can do OK, otherwise no other player on this current roster should ever start in CF besides Chaz.

Step 1 for Click putting Meyers on the playoff roster over Dubon.

It's like Click had a plan or something.

If Click lets Dubon join playoff roster, he will be your starting CF in game 1 of ALDS. I feel like Dusty is messing with Verlander.

Probably telling Verlander... "we're going to go ahead and start this guy at CF that's not very good, and we'll go ahead and make sure to fck up your run support even more. Don't worry he's versatile and has the ability to get contacts...for grounders."

    I'm kidding ofc...but not really.

Alright... I have to ask why is pointing out Click and Dusty may not always agree far more incendiary than suggesting that Rick Smith/Brian Gaine didn't always agree with Bill O'Brien or that Daryl Morey and Kevin McHale didn't always agree?

He was an injury risk when we first signed him... a Odorizzi style deal of innings played determining salary would make sense here...

Off topic but does anyone know if the wildcard ends early if they'll start the ALDS early even if the other AL series is still going on?

Because basketball and football are team sports where players effectiveness is closely linked to their teammates effectiveness. Therefore it's harder to say somewhat factually when the wrong choice is being made.

Baseball hitting stats are largely in a vacuum independent of others.

If he had a plan, Dubon would be on the taxi squad.

I'm pretty sure the dates are fixed in stone so the Networks can line up advertisers for the games early. Probably the reason they have eliminating reseeding after the early rounds. Print a bracket and stick with it.

Hunter is the closest call in my opinion as he actually fits in the MiLB prospects category. But I think he has secured a spot.
