It should be mandatory to post a picture of your girlfriend if you're going to give mediocre ratings to an attractive woman.

 

I like Vanessa's work on Channel 2.

What happened to Cayleigh, what is she moving on to?

 

I liked the other girl, Cayleigh, and I don’t like this Indiana affiliation with this new one. Not sure why we can’t get people with Houston affiliation to report for our teams. But as long as they improve those stupid fan poll questions I’ll be okay.

 

I read this thread and realize one of the things I will never do is be a sideline reporter.

 

I like her. She’s nice looking. More importantly, she will be good at the job.

 

Shows exactly what the problem is w/ women in sports organizations. Always judged by their looks. Frankly, I would’ve loved to hear Cayleigh next to Craig and Hollins can F off or be a sideline reporter.

Looks like she's good at ball handling and her emoji usage is titillating. I'll give her a thumbs up.

 

On a side note, looks aside, Craig has a harsh tone of voice and Cayleigh's voice was also pretty shrill. I think that would be hard to listen to for 2 hours of play-by-play, just my personal opinion.

I do think experience shows that women with more contralto voices are more easily heard over the broadcast and are less fatiguing to the ear, same with men with more baritone voices. Audio engineers know that high-mids and highs can be harsh over long periods.

People may hate Worrell but he had a great broadcast voice. Same with Doris Burke, though I really don't like her biases. Nate Robinson..... not so good.

Yeah Craig’s voice is actually awful to listen to, works for radio to get that nostalgic static sound with the shrill tones, but on TV…no. Worrell had a soothing voice. Hollins is awful since he tries to sound like Craig. Doris Burke is definitely not great to listen to, she has kind of a lisp and that accent. Actually sounds quite harsh. Very few commentators I can truly stand.

To piggyback off of this, anyone being critical of a new reporter’s appearance had better post a picture of themselves as well.
