He's a very good perimeter defender, but he still has lapses on that side as to be expected with young players. That was how he was sold to the public though wasnt it? Elite wing defender combined with elite shooting. The shooting will come Im not overly concerned with that right now. I've been pleasantly surprised with his passing ability. Solid rebounder and hustle guy. In his finished form I hope Jabari can be a guy who you can give the ball to in a critical possession and he can go make things happen. Still has some work to do to get there.

Extremely impressed with what I saw from Jabari. High motor, good awareness, always has his hands out. There's no doubt in my mind the shots will start falling; his release is quick and silky smooth. I saw flashes that his handling can improve. He doesn't need to dribble the air out of the ball. As long as he makes quick moves (spins, one-dripple pro hop, etc). He'll be more effective getting to the rim than Ariza at least lol

I was very impressed with Eason's game. He's got so much defensive potential and is confident with his handle. He was very ball dominant at LSU and kind of chucked a lot in game 1, but he showed a lot of ability to cut off ball in this one. Even the last one where he got stuffed by Holmgren was the right play to make.

Jabari had a rough night shooting, but I'm not worried about that. His shot will be automatic most nights. His defense was fantastic. He's got long arms, great hands, and good instincts. I'm worried about his fear of driving, which is pretty justified because of his weak handle. He even completely lost his dribble once and Tyty had to recover the ball. OKC wasn't swarming him with multiple defenders so looking so awkward with the ball is disappointing. This isn't surprising as it is a well known weakness of his, but he definitely needs to improve on that.

    That's fair.

For now, I'm good with the defense that's even exceeded my expectations.

And like you, I have no doubt his 3 will start to fall.

For example, Nix was 3-5 while Titty was 1-5.

If Titty can show he can hit the 3 at a high rate then Nix is done, if he can't, he'll have a chance to prove himself in the G League
