Rox receive Jaren Jackson Jr. but still get high 2023 pick as JJJ is out 4-6 months. Rox send back 2 picks + 2 swaps + EG + K Mart Jr. KD to Memphis. Nets get 7 1st round picks + 2 swaps, including rights to 4 of 5 back from Rox. Rox keep 2027, throw in EG to get Miami 1st + K Mart Jr. who nets showed interest in. Miami sends out 1st for EG upgrade from playoff unplayable Duncan Robinsons at $17M a year for 3 more years. Who says no? What's a better (possible) return for Rox around NBA? Not just young player, but that doesn't effect losing in 2023 without being unseemly.
You always ask for more than what you want on that opening offer - that's 'Negotiating 101'. This doesn't surprise me at all. It wouldn't shock me if the Nets would do it for just Edwards and a lot of future firsts but I don't see a place where the Twolves see that as value if it makes their window significantly narrower than what it is today but hey - it's a weird place. Worth noting that the TWolves are starting to transition to new ownership and it seems like this Gobert trade was the first of the new style of transactions there so the new ownership group is a bit of a wild card right now and we don't know what to expect from the CEO of Wal Mart and A-Rod.
media really reaching for KD content at this point Woj goes on TV every day basically saying the same thing with a few extra words added in here or there
It helps if you say "this is a big development" every few days - especially when the hosts won't call your bullshit.

very interesting don’t think I’m ready to cash in all those lottery tickets, but this is the type of deal that could intrigue
Certainly one of the worst deals ive seen put together on here. We trade all those picks and the centerpiece return is essentially the 7th pick in the draft?
Not quite. We get to swap the Bucks pick with the Nets pick next year. So essentially turning a swap right we can't use and a late first rounder, into the opportunity take the Nets selection in 2023. I project this to be a great pick, because their team is Simmons, Trent Jr, Nwaba, and a bunch of other nobodies.
Yeah - it's kind of like we are paying for the Blazers to get OG... why wouldn't we just take him for ourselves if we're giving up 2 firsts?
it’s too much outgoing and puts all the chips in now; however, as opposed to trades that bring back an aging star - this iteration brings back talented youth all at once. I also misread and thought his scenario led to us getting the ‘23 Brooklyn pick outright and eliminated the swap. That would be critical because you’d be getting a very good pick next year.
