What do you use to buy tickets to concerts/sports?

I'm taking the youngest to Houston in 2wks and I'm looking at tickets to the Astros-A's on July 15th.

Gametime seems to have some decent prices but I've seen some really bad reviews.
Looking at a couple seats on Stubhub but I don't know what the fees are like.

    What are your experiences?

Hit up my homeboy Lil Tikk'app on the corner of Preston and St Emanuel about 20 minutes before gametime for the hookup.

Did you find tickets yet? There’s someone on the Facebook group that has section 122 row 33 for $75 each. Pretty good deal.

I've used TickPick https://www.tickpick.com and Stubhub in the past, I've gotten some really good deals on TickPick since they don't charge fees on topo of the ticket price, only tax....

Used to think this...until I went to sell some tickets back in December. Posted the tickets to a concert that wasn't to take place until Feb 25. Tickets went pending for sale quickly but something was very fishy about the buyer so I canceled it. I never received any money the other party didn't receive the tickets. No transaction happened at all. No harm, no foul...or so I thought.

I relisted the tickets and they sold the next day. Transaction went through as normal. You don't actually get paid by StubHub until 5-8 days after the event. Kind of bulls*** since you have to transfer the tickets pretty much immediately after the sale. Ok, fine. I'll wait the 3 months until I can collect on something I sold already. Concert was last weekend. Get a notice that my payment is processed...but it's waaaaaay smaller than what I sold the tickets for.

Turns out...you can't cancel sales. Their fine print states that they can (and will) penalize you up to 100% of the sale for a canceled sale. Doesn't matter that the original buyer didn't receive anything and therefore didn't have to pay for anything. In literally every other business transaction I've ever been a part of throughout my entire 47 years, if you don't receive an item, you don't have to pay for it. So I'm out the sale amount which was way more than we paid for the tickets in the first place. I called their customer service and they just repeated that it's in the T's and C's and they wouldn't do anything about it. They said they had to purchase tickets for the seller of the canceled sale because of their buyer protection program. I said that's fine because they're using their money to do so. Why do you also need my money? It's strictly a punitive bulls*** penalty for not completing the sale.

I'll admit...my fault for not reading every line of their terms and conditions. Had I done that, I still wouldn't have understood how I can be penalized for not selling something that I own if I don't want to sell it to a particular person (or what was almost definitely a bot). I'm trying to find the logic in it but I can't.

Has anyone tried just rolling up to Toyota Center and buying tickets on one of these apps at game time or even 10-20 minutes after? How good of a deal can you get? I live about 5 minutes from Toyota Center and I thought I should give this a try sometime.

Plus, I just bought a sweat shirt that says "Josh Christopher Only Fan". I need somewhere to wear it.
