Fair enough, Leonard leaving them and they drafting Barnes, that is like another dream scenario.

After seeing how they did Cade for rookie of the month, I think Scottie Barnes is also getting rookie of the year. There was a shift somewhere from Mobley to Scottie after the Cavs started sucking without Jarrett Allen. I thought Cade had a shot, but nope. Zero chance.

Media is on board with it. It’s a wrap.

I think Barnes is a fantastic player and will be an All-Star soon enough and I also think Jarrett Allen (AND Ricky Rubio, Garland, etc) made life a bit easier for Mobley early on, but it's not as if Scottie dragged a bad team to the playoffs. He's playing with two All-Star level teammates in VanVleet and Siakam, with the former actually named to the All-Star team.

It's never going to change but the media is like a moth to a flame.

Raptor fans really think Scottie is the best player in this draft lol. He could get RotY I guess but he's probably the 5th best player right now.

The crazy thing about Barnes is how many minutes he’s already playing .

tor runs a thin rotation . He’s one of their top guys as a rookie and gets 35+ mpg and I’ve seen him play 40 plenty of times .

guy is a big contributor on a solid playoff team . Roy sounds good to me . I was high on him in the draft , I didn’t think he’d be this impactful this early .

Some people sound like one player is obviously head and shoulder above others. The fact is, all top 4 guys are great. If the draft was redone, there would still be debates on the order of the top 4. Each one brings different things to the table.

Cade is the best playmaker and best all-around skilled on offense. He also looks very mature and poised.
Green is the best scorer and will likely be one of the elite scorers in the league for a long time.
Mobley and Barnes are very good two-way bigs which are very valuable for winning.
Mobley is a versatile 7-footer. He is very consistent which is rare for a rookie. A lot of things point to him as a special player.
Barnes is more athletic and may have a higher ceiling.

To be fair I think he was joking. Barnes isn’t even Canadian I don’t think.

surprised at Butler to be honest, but then again he's never been a consistent shooter. I remember last two season ago he was shooting like 15% from 3 for a while.

Scottie Barnes basically just learnt to shoot last year. His offense needs a hell a lot more polishing, right now the defense don't respect that shot
