The kid has alligator blood, can't get a read on him, keeps hanging around...and hanging around..... DD
the way this draft went I would consider taking 2 seconds rather than a late first for Gordon if need be, they cost less too which is important to our broke owner
EG + Nwaba + KPJ for D’Angelo Russell I think D’Angelo Russell is about the equivalent of player that we hope KPJ becomes. While statistically they are both already very close, I think it would benefit all of these young guys to play with a more experienced PG. Someone who’s been doing it longer and has a better feel for the flow of each game. I think this move would make us a better team overall, but also improve the development of the young guys individually. Russell is in the final year of his contract, so we aren’t taking on any additional long term salary. He’s young enough at 26 that we could always keep him beyond the coming year if we so choose.
Perhaps it was going to be the rumored #23 pick from Sixers, but when the T-Wolves jumped us for the rim-protector he wanted in Kessler at #22, Stone called off the deal.
Watching EG get traded will be a sad day for me. Since arriving he’s been a true pro, and has hit some massive shots along the way. A solid dude who you’d like to see snag a ring, you know, just because.

Not that it means anything but was interesting to hear Silas mention EG and KJ when talking about the guys who are here and the competition with the rookies. I guess I’ll start preparing myself for another year of 6’3” EG at the 3 spot.
I'd definitely trade him to the Suns for Saric, expirings, and a 2024 pick (we have our own and Brooklyn's in 2023)
I think 2023 is swap rights with BKN We have MILs unprotected 1st 2023 2024 BKN pick plus our own I like the general idea though! Future picks and an expiring who might contribute
2023 Houston 2023 Milwaukee (unprotected) 2023 pick swap w/ Brooklyn 2024 Brooklyn 2024 Houston (goes to OKC as part of the CP3 trade) - top 4 protected.
Suns get: Gordon Rockets get: Saric Noel Alec Burks Suns 2025 1st rd pick Wizards protected 1st rd pick Knicks get: Landry Shamet Suns get Gordon for a first, Knicks get $9.7MM cap space to sign Brunson, and Rockets a couple first round picks.
