There's also value in having quality vets like Gordon in the locker room, especially because our main guy is also a shooting guard. Wood otoh just took minutes and touches.

Hopefully the late first offers are still there, at worst.

Bigs actively being shopped around the league that are more desired than Wood:

    john Collins
    Myles Turner
    DeAndre Ayton
    Jermi Grant
    Clint Capella
    Rudy Golbert
    Vucavic

glad we didnt hold out to compete with that and get screwed in the end. We got what Wood was valued at in the current market.

This is such a Stone/Fertitta move. Essentially it's Wood for 26th pick. I'm sure we could have gotten more than that.

The guy who quit on his team, can’t set screens, ball hogs, doesn’t play defense and put up empty stats here? I highly doubt that. There’s a reason he’s on his 7th or 8th team before turning 27

Dude set the weakest screens, pouted and dogged on D. He was in the way of interesting, growth-encouraging rotations. Well done Stone.

I dunno. Wood is already 26 and on his bazillionth team. If he was going to learn how to play defense and be unselfish he would have done it by now.

One interesting thing is this also sets the rate for anyone else on our team.

If Wood goes for a late first rounder, Tate pretty much has no value on the market.

Addition by subtraction, and we get a first-round pick. How is this not a win?

Westbrook on crack? Let's not get carried away. Westbrook can't be any more on crack. That guy already looks like a hamster swimming in coffee at all times on the court.
