    So if it's shelved for 3-4 months....and let's take the high on this one...he wouldn't be ready for the season opener. I'm thinking he's not going to show up and play until after the All Star break, at the earliest.

    I thought he said his back problem was triggered by his mental block. Isn't it commonsense that you treat the root cause rather than the symptoms?

    Well he does have a herniated disc, that seems to trigger with mental issues. Maybe he wants to fix the disc to help him mentally too. Who the hell knows.

    A lot of people opt to not have surgeries on HD, but maybe for him a surgery will help his psych as well
