These two have near identical contracts
    YET
I see some folx are actually interested in trading for Westbrook
    Most recent the Hornets
    Why?
Why can the Rockets Get in by offering a less cantankerous option

In his only season with the Rockets - the Covid shortened one - he played 57 out of 72 games. Wall hasn't played that many games in any of the last 5 years.

Overall, Westbrook played more games this year than Wall has in the last 4 years combined.

    /thread.

As bad as Westbrook has been, he still suits up. No one except the Rockets, knows what Wall's game has become.

Better to trade for the devil you know than the devil you don't.

Does anyone actually *want* Westbrook? All I see is a Lakers obsessed media trying to speak their dreams into reality.

WB in the ideal situation or role could help a team.

As a backup on a team with pretty good shooters. He works.

An offense with other playmakers who can shoots, he works.

Not at $44 million a season. Best case scenario after the contract is up is Westbrook becomes like Melo. A veteran minimum bench player. One you can easily toss away like trash if they are hurting the team, like Rockets did with Melo.

LOL - at those saying Wall won't suit up....he wants to, the org won't let him.

Westbrook plays alright and makes any team WORSE......

We would not play that guy either.

I'm sure Tillman would send over all our picks that don't already go to OKC to LA.

That's just not true. He carried his OKC teams - they were nothing without him. Washington made the playoffs in his one season there - they didn't do so before or after him. Rockets held up pretty decently with him, though Covid got him in the bubble and Chris Paul was obviously better. LA, of course, is a disaster all around but everyone knew their lack of shooters was not going to work well with his game. Until this year, he has largely been a positive on most teams he's been on, though super-frustrating since he brings some significant negatives with him too.

Did you forget prime Paul George played there for 2 years? Including a 28ppg season. I mean, he took IND to the playoffs every year of his time there, except the Injury year.

but, yeah, WB did carry them in his MVP year, when we dispatched them in 5.

WB is more appealing because he’s more willing to take a buyout

Most importantly, if you want to get your head coach fired and trigger a rebuild, no one works better.

There are definitely options now that Russell is expiring. I'm sure Lakers would have to throw in a few unprotected picks to make Indiana budge.

You guys are talking about Westbrook playing like that’s a positive thing? Wall provides the unknown of possibly not being a complete train wreck on the court. He’ll also just sit his ass down and do nothing if you ask nicely.
