That's because Italians are just argumentative, deep down they know the truth...... that American pizza is superior.
I've never been to New York, but fortunately I have this internet thing at my disposal. Here's TripAdvisor's list of pizza joints: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g60763-c31-New_York_City_New_York.html Most of the names seem to be in Italian and there's no "Stars & Stripes Pizza Parlor"... I wonder why.
Simping for a mediocre Italian dish that was transformed by Italian immigrants in America into one of the most popular dishes in the world is weird. People wouldn't consume 5 billion Neapolitan style pizzas annually like they do American style pizzas. It's just how it is.
I actually prefer New York/New Haven style pizza over Neapolitan or Roman Style pizza. I also don't know why people in Italy gate keep Pizza of all things. It's literally dough/sauce/cheese. On the other hand I think Chicago Deep Dish is terrible
Maybe it's because Italians actually do have a cuisine, so they don't go for cheese-and-sauce-on-dough junk food as often?
Cylus! was on with Matt Thomas and asked him what he would tell Sengun when the season was over. Paraphrasing "To get stronger and bigger to defend the post and to shoot. He can shoot but on a pick and rolls he's always looking to pass. He's going to find a way to fit that in during his play for the Turkish team. We're sending someone with him" On Jalen and KPJ: "They play well together. Always looking to get the other involved but it can't be the Jalen and Kevin show. Eventually they have to get everybody else to play well together."
Honestly, this is an improvement that's been great to see. Earlier in the season, it was the "whoever show". Now we have 2 dudes that want to and will try to take the lead dog position in a game. They're not alphas yet, but they've grown in that regard. Now another season will see them evolve and hopefully reveal another piece or two (or we may acquire that). And to keep things on-topic - Sengun is good, but he needs to be more consistent. And to do that, he really does need to be physically "better" and work on that 3 ball. The only thing I don't see him improving (at least I don't think so) is his reaction time on some plays is dog slow. It's like people are hopping around him for rebounds, putbacks, etc. and he's still contemplating jumping. I can't complain about what I've seen so far in the season, though. He's still a steal at where we got him. Now hit that weight room and get ready to bow somebody when needed. He's still a kid and developing that body.
if only he did even try it but rather drove and attacked the rim! defenders dont like it when you attack the rim...
