If you don't need all of the creature comforts and options the Toyota is the better buy. Once you start adding packages and options to a Toyota, you are probably only a few thousand away from getting the Lexus equivalent. A RAV4 non-hybrid limited model with AWD starts at $35k A Lexus NX 250 base with AWD starts at $40K
Toyota. The one I drive now we've had since 2011and has 272000 miles on it. No major problems. Really good gas mileage also. Our last four cars have been Corollas
Toyota. They're both great cars - the Lexis is just more flashy. If you like flash and want to flex, get a Lexis. I'm not like that. The last five cars (new and used) we've bought have been Toyotas and we've been super happy with them.
I care more about practicality and function than form. A small SUV is my preferred vehicle for a family. I dislike the raked profile of every luxury SUV's trunk. Toyota for me.
This is the correct response. Another caveat to add is that if you're shopping used it also adds a point to the Lexus because their depreciation is worse than Toyotas. Otherwise it's a complicated question that is more about your heart than your head. If you're weighing the question, it's likely a sign that you're budget conscious and so Toyota is most likely the choice.
Not exactly equivalent(its based off the land cruiser), but the LX570 and then youre getting out of the affordable range.
I have a 4runner and the wife has a GX 460. I hate the Lexus because it is not worth the money. But my wife is spoiled and boujee...so there's that.
