Tonight belongs to Christian Wood, and as such, I shall not slander him until the next game. The last time I saw someone get this got was Chandler Parsons in the first half with his 10 threes or whatever.

KPJ needs to take a break, he’s clearly not healthy and his burst is not there.

As much as I’m for the the tank you can’t help feeling excited for the kids when they pull one out. Especially in this way. They deserve a solid win every now and then until the tank is complete.

Happy for Wood. That smile says it all.

Great win, and the type of win we can "end" the season with. From this point forward we should sit Wood, Gordon, Schroder and KPJ. Let them rest up, been a long season for everyone. Get Garuba in the starting lineup and give Nix the starting nod. We've come too far along to screw up our lottery odds now.

Just hope the Rockets were paying attention to what the Wizards were doing out there tonight. Now THAT is how you tank! From now on that is how you tank!

Wood can get nights like this but his overall play doesn’t equate wins. A few fans including myself have said that he can be a good complimentary player on a loaded team where he isn’t a main option and plays a simple role that he must accept. I think he can thrive where he isn’t doing too much in terms of dribbling up the court and making a lot of decisions. But he can be a catch and shoot or face up dribble drive guy.

I can't believe we're trying to win games. Don't screw this up anymore Rockets, I didn't suffer through 72 games of awful basketball for you to throw away the best possible lottery odds away.

Yeah I agree. He isn’t a num 1 or 2 option on offense. He just isn’t that guy. Too many mental errors too inconsistent. And terrible on defense. But he can be good on a team that masks these flaws. Like a team with a dominant big or couple stars on it. His role would be simplified as others set him up. Spot up Shoot or drive or move that ball. No more holding the ball iso trying to make plays. No more defending their biggest big.

I may be a Wood only Hater, but I agree. I think Wood can be very very good on a team with a distinct hierarchy and HOF leadership. Draymond Green wouldn't stand for Wood's bullshit. Wood would play defense if Draymond Green was threatening to end his career every practice.

Yeah this is dumb. Wood is not a center. All season long they’ve seen that he can’t defend at the 5. I feel like they knew this all along when they brought in Theis, but Theis was just a bad fit. After that experiment failed, Silas has been resistant to try the exact same lineup with a much better player in Sengun despite seeing Wood failing defensively over and over again. Wood at the 4 and Sengun at 5 looks like one of their best lineups. Go figure.
