Three fun bands that don't take themselves seriously: Cake, Primus or The Presidents of the United States of America?

    1: Primus
    close 2nd: Cake

3: POTUSA (I am the least familiar with them by far, so I can be swayed)

Cake is one of my favorite bands. I love this cover.

Primus for me and it’s not really close. I like Cake just not as much. POTUS is an absolute joke to me. Shouldn’t even be in the same breath as the other two bands. That’s just, like…my opinion, man.

I was thinking about that while posting earlier...who *should* the 3rd band have been?

Bloodhound Gang? Maybe? I don’t think they are nearly as good either. I’m more talking about the humor aspect. It’s hard for me to put anyone next to Primus due to their sound being so unique.

    Luscious Jackson??

Bloodhound Gang is horrible ******* rock, sorry. I assumed they were from Massachusetts but just learned they're from Pennsylvania, so I wasn't that wrong.

My personal pick would be G-Love and Special Sauce

Oh trust me, I don’t like Bloodhound Gang. G-Love I could see.
My main thing is POTUS sucks and doesn’t belong here. Funny as Primus “sucks” was their thing for so long.

Not bad, though I’d put them closer to Beck. Mostly due to it being so experimental. Ween was definitely more out there than Beck of course.

Beck is better than Ween, but maybe not a great choice for this.

[I had to post this to cover up the doublepost I just made]

I would also now like to say that the man above picked out a mediocre Primus video....there are better ones...and there are better than this

If everyone hasn't seen this first video, you're doing something wrong:

    Cake > Primus > Presidents

I think Fashion Nugget was the best and most original all around album made of three bands although Seas of Cheese is a close second. Here come the bastards was the jam back in the day.

There is a band with a video of them in masks and cowboy garb, but I can't remember their name. They seemd to be having fun.

Will go see if I can research my viewing history on Youtube.
