Would you trade Sengun/Tate/2023 1st unprotected for Zion?

I would say no as well but let’s play along for fun. Adding Zion along with Green in year 2 and one of Holmgren/Smith/Banchero likely puts you in late lottery for the 2023 pick.

Now we still have Nets pick swap but no pick so we would need to figure out something to get one. Maybe finally flipping Gordon for a late first for example.

You do have to roll the dice to get a player of Zion’s caliber so despite all the comments here it could work out and might be worth the risk.

Maybe if you change Wood for Sengun this board would like it better.

 

If it was Wood and a protected top 3 pick I would.
It would take a lot more than Zion to trade Sengun and an unprotected pick

If zion didn't need the recent surgery, putting upside aside, even getting back to his 2020-21, season performance will take time because of the new weight.

Tate, Wood, 1st rounder, filler for Donovan Mitchell. Given the rivalry, Utah says no, ships him to the Knicks.

That is negotiable, you could go three way trade and get the guards to another team.

Rafael isn’t that creative though with follow up trades.

I hope yall realize the time it takes Zion to get back on the court he will want to leave here. Also, even after he fixes his weight issues he needs to fix his biomechanics which is also a big contributor to his injury issues. He isn't worth taking on.

Even when Zion was going good, there were concerns about how long he could stay healthy. Then he got hurt which to me reaffirms he can't be a healthy big man that you can rely on. So no I am not trading a unprotected first which can be first overall for a dude who has major injury concerns. That Combined with senguin who is a top 20 pick and living up to potential and Tate who is first round worthy talent would be a better haul then what rockets got for harden who had zero injury concerns

I said it back then that Zion more than likely would be heavier
instead of slimmer. I projected DeMarcus Russell outcome.

Where the quarterback was bigger than his offensive linemen
