Ouch, just noticed SSG burning 5 SPs against me. Too bad it looks like it's not gonna be enough. :p

Looks like you got it locked up fade. Whitesox-Phillies rainout kills me.

Velverde may get you a save as well.

A Wagner save would have made things more interesting, but I'll take it. This win couldn't come at a better time as my team has been slumping badly.

Hard to believe my 4 starters were not enough against Pedro and RJ:(

Bellhorn is 3rd in OBP of all 2nd baseman in MLB, yet Boston starts Pokey Reese instead. Go figure:confused:

Fade, I want to add Dave Roberts, but he's unavailable. It looks like the same situation as last time.

I was able to add him fine via your team page. Not sure what you were having difficulties with.

I want to post this somewhere, but I know if I start a thread with it it'll get locked. But rest assured, this will make it into the Hangout Forum soon.

Since I'm playing SSG's team this week, I thought I would revisit the trade our two teams made.

On 5/16, the Steamrollers traded Kevin Brown and Richard Hidalgo to the Tools' for Carlos Beltran. Since that trade...

Beltran has scored 49 points since the trade, or 7 points per matchup. Could be traded to a contender soon, which would up his value.

Brown has scored 41 points since the trade. Currently out with a back problem and could be headed to the DL.

Hidalgo has scored 11 points since the trade, and currently sucks arse.

I realize you can't consider this in a vacuum, because you have to look at whom these guys replaced in the lineup, but overall, I'm feeling pretty good about this trade.

Brown's back has worried me from the beginning. I think you made a wise move trading him even though Beltran has slumped a bit.

Interesting scenario my team just faced.

Dotel on the mound, bases loaded, Geoff Jenkins up to bat. A HR in this situation would give me 12 points for the grand slam minus 4 runs, a hit, and a blown save for Dotel, or -10, resulting in a net gain of 2 points for my team.

Instead, Jenkins struck out, giving me point for the out and a point for the K to Dotel and a -1 for Jenkins, resulting in a net gain of 1 point.

In that one at bat, the difference between a grand slam and a strike out was one point.l

Of course, as I was typing the above, Dotel gives up a single and two runs.

I saw that too. I hope he continues to pitch 5 SPs every game.

Why did Pimp not start any pitchers? He may have won his game if he had:confused:

Nah, it only took me 1 SP (Penny) to beat your 3 (Brown, Wells, Wright) last time we matched up. And through 19 weeks, you both had started more SP games than me, Bob* by a good 5 games. I'll stick to my standard 5 man rotation until it's proven wrong, and let yall fight for 3rd place in the division.

    :p
