See, guys, I have a problem here. Do you see it?
Neither Rashard nor Blake were number 1s on contenders!
Lots of big talk about tanking for franchise cornerstones, but if we can't even get hyped-up enough for these kids, what are the chances that we'll get one there?
    At least 2021 draft's hype-game was top-notch ...

I mean that's only what I've read but that might have been someone on this board lol. Who knows how hard the hype train will come at us in a few months.

Not close to the athlete Blake was, similar type of skillset though.
    Julius Randle-Carmelo is his range

Other than Lebron and Doncic I do not think anyone was hyped and it became 100% true the moment they set foot in the league.

Most of those guys got better after years of practice and games. Some got worse.

Hype is just a tool to make money and draw attention.

Teams will never leak anything, Morey saying a player is Top 6 on his boards, well he could say that about 15 different players.

You would not know what they think and it is darn mysterious and intriguing.

Patrick Baldwin…. The kid will be a lights out shooter from range at 6’10”. When I say lights out I’m talking Steph, Klay, Reggie, Ray Allen, etc.

His stroke is pure and he can do other things well.

In modern NBA…. Give me Baldwin for Threeeee!

Carmelo Anthony's offensive game in Blake Griffins body/athleticism, and also a great defender. That's the ridiculous one I've heard.

Yeah 2/3rds of that is just completely ridiculous. He’s an average athlete and below average defender.
Elite offensively and can rebound. Nice handles for a big guy too.
    Realistically a jumbo 3 or spacing 4.

While I still think Chet has the highest upside and only one of the 3 with superstar potential. Smith is super intriguing because of his defense and athleticism. He’s like the combination of Banchero and Chet.
Either way I’d be happy with any of them.

I do not want to re-live the heartbreak that was the lost career of Ralph Sampson.

Seriously? There have been a lot of heralded rookies who were all-star level in year 1, regardless if they actually made the ASG

Shaq, Duncan, Cp3, Durant, Blake come to mind.

Yea definitely gotta draft BPA. Green hasn’t played well enough for us to overlook the SG spot.

Pieces can be moved for fit later.

No position is locked in for us yet.

Sengun would have looked BEST next to this guy.

    2 skilled high IQ players.

He would be the perfect C-Wood replacement, for once CFans would all have to agree on something.

On a side note, one of the most exciting things about this streak is how Jalen will play when he returns. Seems obvious now that it wasn't the players, it was the rotation.

I really don't know what I want from these Rockets. I have been pro tank since Wood went down last season, but I will admit this streak has been fun.

I'm not saying this is what I want, but in a pro tank utopia, this streak has built up the value of about 8 different players significantly from where it was 2 weeks ago. If this was Vegas, trading Gordon, Wood, etc.. would be the smart move, to cash out. Cashing out is always so hard because you have to walk away when it's most exciting.

    YES!

Or Hardy or Ivey or Chet.

Too bad AJ Griffin is out.

Hardy, Duren, Baldwin, and Houstan's stocks are slipping. Ivey seems to be the favorite for #4. Mathurin, JD Davison, Kennedy Chandler, Kendall Brown, Keegan Murray are getting a lot of attention even ahead of some of the bigger names. From following a few draft experts, podcasts, websites... I'd say right now my rockets draft board would be:

    1. Banchero
    2. Chet
    3. Jabari
    4. Ivey (has to prove he can shoot and/or play point, if not he's not the 4th pick)
    5. Keegan Murray
    6. Kennedy Chandler
    7. Hardy (just a value pick but not a great fit)
    8. Duren (again just value)
    9. Kendall Brown
    10. Baldwin

I'm really hoping for the forwards and PGs to push their way into the early lotto so the best players available are also the best fits. I'm rooting a bit against SGs and C's since hopefully green and sengun will earn that spot for the next decade.
