Should gold contributing members be seeing ads ? Im seeing them and my membership doesn't expire until feb 22. I forgot how annoying ads are I’m on mobile safari.
I appreciate you guys letting me know of the issues. It helps me a lot. That formatting issue should be fixed. Gold supporting members should not see ads... I apologize but some of the things being tweaked might have shown some to you briefly. It should be fixed. I'm confident there will be more issues until it's final and stable. I appreciate the patience and you letting me know of issues.
Now getting random pop ups, some full screen, when I open a page, click on something (like the next button or a thread title). Might be the biggest nuisance I've ever seen here.
Also, when I finish reading a thread and scroll back to the top to hit the "forum" button, more than half of the page is filled with ads and I actually have to scroll down just to find the button I'm looking for. I took a screenshot, but I'm not sure how to attach it.
I'm trying to get some ads removed for logged in users, like the top ad, but it's a complicated process.
Yeah so far this one is approaching that threshold for me, where it'll either force my hand into paying for whatever premium level subscription membership to remove them all, or otherwise find it unusable. That upgrade is always an option for us so can't complain too much!
Are you guys really getting that on (nearly) every click? Is that something that has been happening for days or just started this morning? That kind of ad shouldn't happen more than once a visit. I notice it when I haven't come to the board for a few hours that I get it on the first click but not again as I'm surfing through.
I'm not trying to force anyone into any subscription. If there's something like that happening on every click, you can bet I want to fix it.
To clarify, I am not getting the full screen ones - just small pop-ups that come 2-3 in a row on consecutive clicks. Was happening last night but seems to have cleared up for the time being. Now I don't see any popup ads
Thanks for clarifying. Were you on Desktop or Mobile? I haven't seen small pop up ads but I will investigate.
I only use CF on my phone and occasionally on my iPad…it’s become unusable on my iPad now because I get this full-page pop-up every time I click on something and it honestly looks malicious like if I accidentally click on it it’s gonna download something this was never a problem until the past week or so on my phone it’s fine for the time being
im a supporting/contributing member and im getting more ads than ive ever seen. theres the ad bar at the bottom that pops up every time you open a new page/link...thats the most annoying thing right now for me. also, sometimes when i click on a thread an ad will pop up instead. that being said, appreciate what you do clutch!
