Missed the game but isn't benching Green and still not getting the win the worst of both worlds? If you're going to bench your rookie to try to get the win you better get it... Now your #2 overall pick & franchise building block misses out on crucial end of game minutes, and you still don't even get the W? Not ideal.

This man is a waste of time. This guy always makes the dumbest choices on the court. This guy doesn't even have a chance to play in the Euroleague. Probably if he was here, he would be beaten by the coaches because of these choices. There is too much tolerance for this laziness. I don't think the players respect Silas.

    My opinion is bench both

The first choice of the bench for me would probably be Martin, but you could also argue Augustin, or Nwaba (for defense) over either of KPJ or Green.

Yeah. I can definitely see the case for benching them both - but if it's going to be just one of the two, it's got to be Green. He's been atrocious on both offense and defense whereas KPJ has just been atrocious on offense.

Silas should have put in Sengun to run point. I want Green with the ball even if he gets a TO.

Remember how good Green looked without KPJ in summer league when he had the ball more? fun times.

Silas isn't going to be coach when this team is relevant again but he keeps this kind of stuff up he'll be fired way before the Rox get into contention. He doesn't appear to be ideal for the development of this team and looks like he is a hindrance to overall growth. Silas has been very instrumental in a lot of the losing since he's been here.

LMAO...D'Antoni doesn't coach defense and needs a superstar to carry him. He wouldn't do anything to improve this Rockets team.

Benching Green near the end of the game tells him that if he is having a bad game, Silas is not going to trust him to make the right decisions at the end. This now puts a lot of pressure on Green to perform well in order to remain in close games.

Some players respond well to that kind of pressure. However, I'm not sure Green does.

Let's see how he responds in the next couple of games.

What would we do on D with Wood/Sengun/Theis? Could be a lot of fouls and blow bys on D

I think his rotations frustrate everyone -- Nwaba gets tossed out there for 2 minutes, is yanked and was definitely annoyed on his way back to the bench. Idk why we're playing Nwaba at all (though I'm a fan of his game) -- think not having a set rotation is a tell tale sign, at least to me

I dont care if it's summer league. The other rockets rookies have performed in a similar fashion in the NBA to the way they played in Summer league. The only role that changed has been Green's. They took the ball out of his hands now he doesn't know where to get his points.

Also he benched Jalen because KPJ is a better defender right now and if you leave Jalen out there they will seek out switches with him on D and destroy him -- don't believe you should be thinking about doing that though since the whole point of this is youth development + losing games
