Always good when big money teams lose.

Braves are good and they are rolling, but they don't scare me. Should be a fun series.

We were down 0-3 to the Rays last year and almost came back.

Bad news for John Smoltz, he has to deal with calling the Astros, Champions, or witness a Braves team that isn't overrated compared to his Braves teams that only won once that had 6 Cy Young winners (G.Maddux, T.Glavine, Smoltz) in the decade of the 1990.

This is the first all south World Series.

First time two teams from inside the Confederacy’s borders battle for a title.

It’s remarkable how underrepresented the south is in Baseball, only 5 teams and only one outside of Texas and Florida. Crazy considering how much talent comes from that part of the county, and all the top college baseball teams.

Since 2015, the Astros went to the final game of their series in 4 out of their 5 appearences.

2015- Lost to Royals in Game 5 (best of 5) ALDS
2017- Beat Dodgers in Game 7 (best of 7) World Series
2019- Lost to Nats in Game 7 (best of 7) World Series
2020- Lost to Rays in Game 7 (best of 7) ALCS

I wouldn't be surprised to see another 7 game series.

Ughh! 2015 the Astros were up 2-1 in that series and they choked it away. Bad memories.

When the Astros played them in 2017 I was in SoCal and had to leave work early because all the games started at 5p PST. I'll be in Atlanta ironically the week of the world series so really thinking about repping the Astros. Seats in ATL are like double Astros prices.
I think Nashville is on its way to being able to support a team. Maybe Charlotte too. That's the biggest reason why there aren't more teams in the South.

Not really if you look at a population map from any time in the past 60 years.

    Exactly.

MLB must be crying tonight. NONE of their beloved teams made it.

    HOUSTON v ATLANTA

A series for the rest of us.

Looking at my 5 2017 WS jerseys, only Correa & Altuve will be on the 2021 WS roster. Sad I'll probably be down to 1 soon.

Excited though as I'll be going to at least one game in Atlanta.

I went to the Astros Dodgers game #2 in 2017 at Dodger Stadium when I lived there (the one where we won in extras) and it was awesome. Saw Altuve after that game as well. Started a convo before Dodger fans started calling him Midget. Then he boarded the bus.

I thought about flying to Atlanta over the weekend but $1000+ for nose bleeds is stupid.
