Are you going to add Tommy James in a few minutes? He sort of fits with some of those bands. ************* I had thought about Humble Pie, but figured some would say too well known. Glad to see the Small Faces being included.
This is a great answer. Very well respected within the music industry. Many peers give them credit for influencing a certain sound. While popular with a certain segment of fans, they still fly under the radar somewhat. I still feel like the Smiths are underrated because some may not like Morrissey or the overall sound. That said, they are all fantastic musicians and definitely influenced the Brit pop movement.
lol I don't think 'Most underrated rock ‘n’ roll band of all time' means most obscure rock 'n' roll band of all time or most significant one hit wonder rock 'n' roll band of all time need a ruling, OP
Immediately disqualified for having one of the worst rock songs of all-time. Don't remember much of ILC outside of the "Cult of Personality" album, which was great, but Fishbone was awesome. Good call.
i think pixies are more popular now than ever before that fight club ending scene absolutely had an impact in introducing that band to a lot of people and now they license where i my mind to anyone lol not even mad. get that money, son. ... Obviously The cure is massive but you guys would not believe just how influential they were in latin america. Essentially any spanish speaking band that came up during the 80's and 90's was a cure cover band
Many of these brought up are tremendously well known bands. The Cure, RHCP, Weezer? Cmon man! Oh ok. Ill play along. Led Zeppelin.
I was in a mood. None of them were "one hit wonders," though, to address the comment from Os. I saw several of the bands in concert mentioned by you and others, like Humble Pie, the Velvet Underground and Buffalo Springfield by @Rashmon. All fantastic in person, with tickets 3 to 5 dollars. Buffalo Springfield were 3rd billed behind Strawberry Alarm Clock, with the Beach Boys headlining in April of 1968 at the Coliseum in Houston. If @Os Trigonum wants one hit wonders, here's one below, billed ahead of the legendary Buffalo Springfield. I couldn't believe it at the time.
