I was thinking (and I am pretty sure some other posters thought of it as well)... if Markkannen gets traded, that might be the time to get in on that trade to move EGo. But the NBA's investigation in New Orleans may complicate things (because of their S&T with Chicago).
I like Oubre a lot but would rather have EG. EG is still a good player and should be for the next few seasons. He’s better defensively than most guards in the league and is realistically our best defensive guard. And he’s not a scrub offensively despite some shooting spells, which all guards go through. He should honestly be a great resource for the young kids/guards. No, he’s not an all star, but he’s a good professional player and can add value to the team. I know fans want him ousted for various reasons, but the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I would prefer to let him ball out, a contender will want him for the aforementioned reasons...hopefully we can get a first, I don’t think it’s that far out...I like Oubre but would rather hold out honestly.
Honestly he sounded chill to me, not depressed. If anything he was depressed saying "I'm one of the oldest if not the oldest now", but otherwise he seemed like he was just chilling with the team.
Eric's been in a lot of different situations already in the NBA. This doesn't seem to faze him much. In fact, he mentioned "it was probably about time to rebuild with younger players" and "this happens all the time." He didn't seem that unhappy to me, more resigned to the situation, and he seemed positive about making the best of it.
While he seemed to take a realist approach, he certainly didn’t seem excited about it. More like he just accepts the situation for what it is.
If only that's how salary caps and trades worked. I doubt there's a team in the league with the space to trade Wall for picks.
After that pathetic exchange with House we should refrain from posting any tweets from that clown. Gordon always talks like that - even keeled and not too emotional. He looked fine to me, he probably understands if a team wanted him enough they'd have traded for him. He knows he needs to play better to up his value to have a chance to go to a contender...like PJ
I would imagine he gets interest around the deadline if he’s healthy. I’m sure some team making a push will feel like they could benefit from a veteran with his skill set.
If / when Ben Simmons gets traded (SAC, GSW), I could see EGo being part of that trade and headed to Philly to join Morey's crew.
