Everybody gets inured even in the post season look around the league. Players getting hurt doesn’t mean being out, he’s playing now and helped get the suns in the finals. are you really using COVID as an injury augmenting excuse? LOL bro
Ah yes harden recruited cp3 for the purpose of beating the super duper gsw cause he couldn't do it alone the previous seasons. Fk him for failing to beat the super duper gsw alone.
Agreed, but he did when he first came here. Morey gets the biggest pass on here and people literally died on the smallest pointless hill when it came to defending never changing offensive strategy by poorly run metrics they neither understood or were able to think through—so you can expect the crowd around him was similar. the rockets culture into chuck 3 or give up with nothing in between was toxic on this forum as well as locker room
And some players get injured moreso than others, like CP3 who is a small guard. Didn’t CP3 break protocols and get Covid? I’m sorry if it caused CP3 to miss more playoffs game. The history is the history for the Rockets…. He couldn’t stay healthy when we needed it the most.
Harden is a grown ass man, he seemed pretty onboard with driving straight into Draymond and taking tough 3 pointers.
We were up in the series. KD was out too. Ah yeah the never ending excuses of why Harden couldn't perform under pressure. Carry on.
He was missing jumpshots in 2019. It was a fluke year of bad shooting due to elbow tendinitis. CP3 was never gonna stay at the offensive levels of 2019, even if he never changed his diet. It was so clear.
He looked slower. He was much worse in isos. He was having a hard time taking advantage of Looney when he'd get him in a switch in the GS series. His play dropped off a lot. If it was clear nobody else in the NBA really saw it because there was close to zero interest in him in a trade and his contract was seen as a big negative asset.
Yea single out a single game instead of examine his entire playoff career. Just like how y’all singled out that quarter where harden was “benched” in game 6 vs clippers but ignore what happened the very next game. I could pick out bad games for any superstar player lol
remember when they tried to pull up the 4th quarter scoring. And a poster on here came at them with facts lol.
LMAO, no way are people seriously trying to justify Harden's weak ass crumbling in the playoffs in the games where it mattered. Dude was out here making the "Clutch City" tag look like when you call a fat person "Slim" as a nickname, unable to close the deal and people are like "but the true shooting percentage" without a hint of irony? PER, TS%, it's all crap if you're still getting your ass beat, chucking up bricks and leading your team to 27 straight missed threes. TS%, smfh. Yay, we were the kings of advanced analytic nonsense that didn't win us jack. Awesome!
Harden fooled so many people the same way he fooled refs into giving him free throws for nothing, his followers just simply wont admit Harden is a big time choker and quitter. They always come up with some excuse, this year it was easy since he missed like two games due to an "injury". Next year's excuse will probably be Durant or Irving got injured and we cant expect Harden to carry the team all the way. Same ol Harden, new excuses every year.
We were up in 2018 and KD was there, same year they swept Lebron in the finals. We were tied in 2019 when KD went out. And without KD the Warriors were still a superteam. Dame got his ass swept the next round while putting up inferior numbers to Harden. Kawhi went to 6 with the Raptors despite Klay being out alongside KD. And speaking of Curry, he found out then and he still knows now what it's like having to carry a team by yourself. But apparently, Harden's the only superstar not allowed to have "excuses".
You telling me theres the same pressure in g1 that it is in g7? The point is Harden folds under pressure not that he cant play. Of course he puts up good games with no pressure
There's a reason CP3 has had greater success in Phoenix than in Houston or LA: His schtick wears thin on veteran stars. Griffin, Jordan, Harden all got tired of his chirping. Even if he's right, he doesn't get the idea across to vets because of his attitude. Veteran stars in their prime don't want to be talked down to. That went double for Harden, who had to play All-Galaxy ball to keep the team near the top while CP3 was tending to his still-carnivore injuries. On the Suns, he's got Booker, who's just coming into this prime and is eager for advice from someone like CP3. The other vets there are role players, not stars, and don't put up resistance. Bottom line: 2018 was our best shot because CP3 was the new star. Once he'd been here for a year, he tried to take the reins before the playoffs. Not a bad idea, but he's not the kind of personality who can do it as deftly as it needed to be done with an established superstar already holding them. I'm happy for the guy, but he's as much to blame for what happened in 2019 as Harden, Morey, and (yes) even Tilman. Although Tilman had the power to just demand all the parties find a way to make it work, but instead was so bugged our by "the worst contract in sports" that he made a moronic move that eventually blew the entire franchise apart.
