[CNN] US carries out air strikes in Syria targeting Iranian backed militia structures

I'm seeing a few people now claiming that Biden is worse than Trump for launching airstrikes. Forgetting of course that in 2017 Trump also launched a strike in Syria too.

According to report later, Biden admin did inform Congress prior to the strike and will fully brief them on sensitive info. This was a standing norm until Trump, who didn't inform congress three or so times and refused to brief them fully afterward. So it’s back to that level of norm.

Ps- Trump supporters might have already forgotten that the Republican control senate voted to stop Trump from further attacking Iran without first having their authorization to do so.

Ya that Reagan guy was known for making dumb platitudic quotable statements that appeal to idiots.

He was the OG Trump in that he was charasmatic and had no intellectual curiosity on how subject matter like the economy or how government works.

 

He has to show toughness to the Iranians to push them back into compliance.

 

Part of me think Glen Greenwald couldn't give two ***** about domestic policy. His shtick has cornered him to a bubble where if you bomb a foerign country, you might as well be exactly the same as the guy trying to decrease tax burdens of the wealthy, increase economic divide in the country etc.

I think he's gained enough right wing edgelord support where he has to now pander to them to maintain his clout. Just don't respect that guy.

I agree and see what you mean. He evolved from something righteous and attacking hyporcisy all around to now somehow focusing almot in a partisan style sort of deducing or whispering the ills of the right that he finds ovious while highlighting the hyporcsiy of the left, as you mentioned to the point where he has become one sided now.

That said, it doesn't make what he said untrue. I think we have that slippery slope when wikileaks or dnc leaks were out, it was always blame teh messenger, russian talking point yada yada. Sort of the same thing truimp does ,attack the messenger call it a tribal democratic talking point hurting yourself so on and that sadly works. So my quoting of him wasn't some endorsement that hes a good guy, I find him irrelevant, but I do thing he makes a point that tands of the hyprosicy and almost reliance towards many of biden's policies. I also agree that he doesn't shed the same light of the blantant abuses and insulting actions to the american people by the republicans, but doesnt change the facts.

Didn't the former president murder more innocent civilians through drone strikes until he decided that the Obama era executive order for publicly releasing drone strike causalities made him look bad and reversed that order?
