Bigtime prospect in a big market on a legacy team. It's rigged. They wouldn't send this guy somewhere that couldn't support top 10 jersey sales. Harden was in the top 10 and he was the most hated man in sports. If Cade is remotely likeable outside of Houston he'll be top 10. #1 pick in the H??? You didn't even have to ask. We're all getting that ****. "The first ping pong ball says Houston." "Uh, Mr. Silver that ball says Orl>POW!<...." "........" "The first ping pong ball says Houston."
The last 2 giant prospects Zion and AD both went to New Orleans which is near the bottom in attendance. The top pick for Luka went to Phoenix. The most sure thing prospect of all time went to Cleveland when they were completely irrelevant. In fact, I can hardly remember a massive sure thing prospect going to one of the major markets in recent history. You guys play up the conspiracy stuff way too much.
Agree, with two exceptions: 1) refs deciding playoff game outcomes to ensure game 7s for more league revenue 2) the premeditated outright theft of the Seattle Supersonics.
Harden was literally just not a likable player and that just because the casual fan thought his game relied on travels and foul calls. It has nothing to do with Houston per-say. Yao, Francis, Hakeem, and T-Mac were all fan favorites and in top jersey sales. Cunningham *finger crossed* will do the same.
Ya the entire NBA fanbase adores Hakeem. The only hamper on Hakeem's fame was that he was the second best player during the reign of MJ, the most popular singular sports figure ever.
I'll also add that I 100% believe that the AD draft lottery was rigged but those were exceptionally unique circumstances because the league itself was trying to sell the team. Also, they've rigged games for the Lakers before like the end of the 2012 season to get them into the 8th seed and the 2002 Kings series. But the intentionally trying to screw some teams conspiracies are just too much.
