Trading for a washed up Oladipo who was coming off injury and telling everyone he wanted to go to Miami was absurd from the get go.
Avery Bradley Olynk 4 first rounders that atleast could three of them could be late firsts That’s it. That’s all you got for a potential MVP and a top 4 player
I can't tell if people are just really stupid or intentionally acting that way when they suggest Oladipo was the main part of the return for Harden. That part certainly sucked though.
Thats a whole lot of picks. If you're evaluating the trade before even one of those picks has conveyed, then you are an absolute moron and you are what is wrong with this forum
When we traded Harden I thought it was a good deal. I didn’t know if Oladipo was going to stay or not but I was pretty sure we were going to at least end up getting a young player out of it. We didn’t. Not even close. Credit to Miami for waiting it out. They are all laughing at us right now.
We gave up 2 years of Harden for nothing in return but a bunch of prayers that will likely amount to nothing. The only thing that can make this season worse is if we also lose our draft pick... which there is a 48% chance of happening. This franchise and team will be sucking for a long while now, prepare your buttholes.
What I hate about it most is that now every GM knows that Stone will balk at the finish line. Should have held Oladipo and let Miami suck.
Literally. Could have had Allen and LaVert plus the what are going to be late 1st round picks. This is the worst GM and ownership combo in the NBA.
are you rubes going to consider whoever we sign with the cap space a 'part of the Harden trade' too? i'm guessing not because it would interfere with your whining
The greatest sin was not taking care of this during the offseason. Tilman clearly wanted to financial relief which sucks but it didn't have to be this bad.
People are just b*tiching because in hindsight we should have gambled on Allen and Lavert. People are ignorant, not realizing Tilman wanted a large expiring contract.
That's the thing though, the whole package is an unknown. If we got unknown for Oladipo fine but for James Freaking Harden that's not good enough. An MVP should at least bring back one guaranteed asset.
Gotta give Fertita credit... He almost at BOB level of incompetence..... He traded away Capela a year after going to the WCF... Went midget ball for the remainder of that year... Traded CP3 for WB... Got rid of WB for an even worse contract in Wall , who was comin off 2 knee surgeries 2 straight years.... Traded Harden for picks that will be in the 25-28 range and Oladipo... Traded Oladipo for some mfers that wouldn't be picked 1st at the YMCA...was BOB that bad so quickly?... Texans never were championship level anyway...
What cap space are you talking about? We're still gonna be over the cap this summer there is no cap space. If you're 30M over the cap and you lose someone making 21 M, you're still 9M over the cap. Also, even if we did have cap it wouldn't matter. No one is willingly playing for this shithole.
