I think you are forgetting about a certain WNBA coach that was definitely on another level awful.

Doesn’t he have something to do with the 3 on 3 league?

Clyde not commentating is the biggest positive from this wretched of a season.

    yes!!

    I’d rather watch paint dry

I love him as a player but he is literally the worst announcer in sports lol

I don’t think I’ve ever heard his voice change tone. He reminds me of the teacher on the wonder years back in the day

He also did the clear eye commercials
    Lol

LOL FU BEAT ME TO IT!!

I literally counted the number of times he said "NI and NO!" last season (17 times in 8 games) and someone gets in that joke before me. Damnit.

Clyde's relentless positivity does not jibe with the state of the team anymore.

Oh he wasn't that bad. He was just not someone to take all that seriously.

On another note: remember when he retired to coach the University of Houston in the late 90s? What a night and day difference between Drexler and Sampson.

I haven't watched much of college basketball the last couple seasons, but Sampson might be the best coach at the collegiate level right now. Very impressed with him.

Do you think Sampson should be looked into as a replacement for Silas immediately after this season ends?

Costs Tilman too much money to have someone who was the calibre of Clyde when he played, announcing the games.

I can't realistically see Silas getting canned after this year...unless they go on another epic losing streak with a full, healthy roster.

I also don't really think Sampson wants to be an NBA coach, but that's not based on anything specific. He's the type of coach that could earn a ton more in college than whatever Fertitta would pay.

It's perhaps a weak or lazy comparison, but he sort of gives off a Nick Saban vibe. Seems like he'll end up at a major program for the long haul (and worth noting the "scandals" which forced him to leave the college game wouldn't even be considered illegal anymore; I believe it had to do with texting prospective recruits, which was a shame).

Basically there shouldn't be any issues from a major school looking into whether he's "clean".

Thanks. My next question is who should replace Silas if he fails in the next season? My first choice to replace MDA was Kenny Atkinson. I doubt he will want to come to a organization who already rejected him. I have nothing against Silas personally. I want him to succeed.
