Well sure, they're run game was non-existent. That happens when you have no legit running backs and a line that isn't particularly good a run blocking. I'm not saying I "love" Tim Kelly... but you could have worse, and I'd like to see how good he would look with KC's personnel on offense.
Crazy they are really bringing in the Tampa 2 with the players on this defense. What linebacker on this roster is dropping back and covering the middle 3rd on passing downs? This team has no pass rush. So much stuff doesn’t make any football sense.

This team has been staffed as a 3-4 defense for years. With no pass rush the cover 2 gets cooked. With slow and poor pass defending LBs you cant cover the field properly. It will be years before the defense has the players it needs. Philosophically you’re not fooling anyone with this defense anymore. Smith will need to have a better defensive execution with an outdated system against DCs and QBs in the league who grew up breaking his scheme. I’m not expecting much in terms of progress.
One positive is that the stuff seems great so far although I am a little skeptical of lovie and Tim Kelly
No need to install a scheme to fit the players anymore. Defense needs a complete overhaul top to bottom.
