I was on here more than once asking Watson to put pressure on mgmt to get rid of Bill O’Brien. i said things like if he wants to “save” the long term legacy of his career he needs to pressure mgmt to move on from Bill O’Brien... so.... no see if he wants to use his power, fine. Do so for the benefit of his team, his teammates, his fans, etc. AS WELL as just for the benefit of himself. This Deshaun is too good a guy/teammate to not back his coach is insane. He’s right now not backing his team at all in any way. The latest I saw was he doesn’t want to go in a deal where a team will have to give up a ton of assets to get him. Screw off Deshaun.
But half the stuff that happened after O'brien (or more, i can't remember what you typed) was DW not getting his way on hires. "Hire x or i'm gone"... And look, i think if DW says hire person X, you probably want to pay attention... BUT at the same time, i have no trust in who DW wants to hire. Cause I don't know what his motivations are. Hopkins for example was traded MONTHS before DW inked his extension. DW didn't ink his extension until September. Here's an idea if you want off the Texans. DON'T sign the extension. Which he still had because DW didn't say **** about him before. * DW had his best season ever nonetheless * They didn't give DW exactly what he wanted in the executive hires. And we know its because he didn't get his EXACT way, because the second the coach hire came out, the trade demand request went 100% formal and picked up steam by journalists.
