Tilman vs Cal

Cal and it's not even close in my mind.

 

Tilman is cheap. Cal has a mental disability and is a member of a cult. It’s a fun debate though.

 

both are idiots and absolute trash. not sure the point of asking who is less trash and sucks a little less.

neither should be owning a professional sports franchise

After what I've seen, I'll never poke fun of Tilman ever again. Tilman can use the nacho cheese from 2 years ago if he wants.

 

It's Cal by a long shot. Just look at both teams right now. as of right now the Rockets are closer to a championship than the Texans.

 

I like the direction the Rockets are going, but the Texans are heading into the dumpster.

 

the real winner in all of this is Jim Crane .

Being disappointed in the astros should be the biggest game in town . It’s not even on the radar .

I always thought Cal was incompetent and overly loyal, but that he could luck into the right coach.

But this offseason has been an incomprehensible mess. He's so embarrassingly out of his depth when it comes to owning a franchise

 

Cal. Having a disgruntled franchise QB is inexcusable. The stuff with Harden is the norm in today’s NBA.

 

The difference is Tilman inherited and has retained a few competent people.

Cal has the IQ of a tapeworm. Tilman has the IQ of a garden snake. Still orders of magnitude ahead though.

 

Dont give him that much credit.

 

Tilman understands "business," but can't run a professional sports team, Cal fails at both. I'm switching to whatever team Deshaun goes too. I live in NY, so wouldnt mind him going to the Jets. And no I'm not a Brooklyn Nets fan lol

Tilman sucks but this really is not even close. Cal is so much worse, and I'm pleasantly surprised at the consensus here.

 

While Silent Cal was the VP during the Harding administration's Teapot Dome scandal, he weathered the storm and became a president without any major scandals beyond the economic policies that would help eventually drive the Great Depression, including an abysmal record with agriculture subsidies and rural economics. He also mismanaged the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.

Bill Tilman fought in WWI and afterwards, became a renowned mountain climber in Africa and famously biked across the continent. He reached over 27,000 feet on Everest without oxygen and for a time held the record for highest mountain climbed and was the first to climb several significant mountains. He fought in WWII, most notably by being dropped by parachute behind enemy lines in Albania to fight with partisans where he was credited with saving a town from occupation. After WWII, he became an avid sailor and in his 80th year (1977) was sailing with a group that was headed to climb mountains on Smith Island, but they disappeared somewhere off the Falkland Islands.

So, not really close. Tilman is better than Cal.
