I know you said it, but I don't see the rationale. Why would either Brooklyn or Houston care that Cleveland gets Allen and make the Harden trade conditional on it? If the front office wanted Allen he'd be here. On the surface it appears we just valued the Cleveland 1st and Dipo over Levert and Allen.
i wish it was a Cleveland 1st, unfortunately i believe it's actually a Milwaukee 1st (number one draft choice)
Ben Dubose has an article about VO. If Rockets can get him for 112M/4year, I think it is not that bad a deal. Does he worth that much, I don't know. But a lot of teams have money to spend. That is why I still think EG at 55/3 is a pretty good deal. https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...-hopeful-of-victor-oladipo-staying-long-term/
I think he is still good enough to be worth at least a FRP to a contender. For the Rockets, based on his play so far, I’d feel uncomfortable with anything over 3y / $70m. Unless his play improves significantly in the next couple of months, there is no point in keeping him. We need to showcase him, pump his stats up and trade him before the deadline.
You dont want VO to stay long term. He will ruin the tank next season(as if we would ever pay him what he wants anyways). You need to trade him after building up his value more.
Disappointing last two games after he looked much more explosive in his first game. Give it more time before we write him off.
I have watched him before he got traded and I still don't see it. You could see Wall doing things in his 1st game.
THIS he needs to let his game come to him and to have set plays to use his wonderful athleticism... not looking good trying to create buckets out of thin air....hes not harden nor luka... hes westbrook
I mean, I agree he's not a max player? But he's not worthless, and at his best, is a quality athletic 2-way borderline all-star. You just watched a 3 game slump, he doesn't normally play like that. The dude hasn't really played since 2018, I think we should wait a couple of months to let him knock the rust off, adjust to a brand new team/coach, get in a grove, before coming to any conclusions about what we see. Wall/Boogie/Dipo are all going to need some time, I thought Boogie was cooked and boom the dude puts up an incredible all-star performance one game later, followed by another good game last night.
He's coming off an major injury and trying to play back in during Covid. I hope we don't resign him, but he's better than he's shown.
How is it not with only 4 games played? You say you watched him previously, he played better Indy pre injury..... I also think we shouldn't resign him.
Victor is a great player but he’s for sure not a max level player but we live in times where it’s hard to find good players. Tons of players who have no buisness getting big contracts get them just because it’s them or nothing.
