    IF we are going for a rebuild, Nets deal makes most sense. If we are going to be mid-tier, Sixers deal.

    Yes, and it doesn’t even sound like Maxey was part of the proposed deal according to Shams? Simmons averaging 12 a game right now.

    exactly. Said this before I guess people were asking to trade for GS's 2021 pick because they knew they'd get the #2 pick in the midst of the curry/klay/dg era. oh wait nobody did bc the assumption was it's going to suck

    GS whose core in their mid 20s had a run of 4-5 years. and that was a dynasty that needed to add KD. people need to relax with this nets picks overreaction built around guys that are 30+ who can be FA's in 2022. 7 years of controlling their draft is a very long time. The nets aren't some dynasty at the level of GS. They're just currently built to win in the next 1-3 years as the initial ceiling.

    Yes we made the right choice. We will get multiple top 10 picks.

    No one has any idea how good the Nets will be in 2024 or 2026. None of these guys are under contract for those years, and for all we know, they'll all get sick of each other and bail.

    Simmons is fools gold. Philly has been struggling because of his inabilities, yet we're supposed to trade him for Harden? The Rockets just rebuilt their future and got a solid player in Oladipo. Stone has single handedly changed the terrible culture of Daryl Morey

    yup one scenario could very well be they give this a 2 year shot and if not, they just go their separate ways in 2022 to whatever contenders are out there. they're not in their prime 20s.

    I, for one, am excited to look into the NBA Drafts in the next years. Since Daryl loved trading every single available first round pick, i didn't pay attention to the draft at all.

    This time i will really try to scout some of them and look who i like and dislike, this will be fun.

    Young star players like Simmons are ok for rebuilds, especially when locked into a long term contract.

    We have replenished our assets. Having unprotected picks are so valuable in today’s nba. Sure, who the hell knows if any of these draft picks will end up becoming superstars... but we damn sure have plenty of ammo to acquire one
