He's definitely young and has some very questionable takes. I'm not getting into that here because it ends up with about 20 people telling me that I'm a hoax created in the Cyberpunk Player Creation Tools.
But the public eye has fixated its vitriol on Harden and his strip club outing. THIS is where a good GM makes a statement and puts out fires instead of allowing journalists to dictate the perception of the team.
It all adds up now. CyberX is Clutches alterego sharing info with us without blowing his cover. you are a genius! Maybe I shouldn’t post this hmm
lmfao wow. I followed him for a bit to keep up with his Rockets-related news but his non-intel related tweets are just insufferable. He's a complete sh*thead through and through.
The guy can very well be an idiot. I just know he has some small connection. Take it with a grain of salt as always.
Worst case - Harden is actively trying to undermine the Rockets in an effort to accelerate a trade. In actuality, this lower his value goes, the harder it is to trade him, and the less sense it makes to trade him. We probably have a better chance of winning the championship (see Raptors) with a star that wants out, than a less-than-optimal return on him when his value is low. I don't buy the idea that this behavior wouldn't devalue him. The mental aspect of the game is important, and there were already questions about Harden's psyche from some past playoff whiffs... this just confirms what people were worried about. Likely case - Harden wants out and is self-absorbed to the point where he just ignores protocols and consequences. In this scenario, anything could happen. Maybe he misses a lot of games because he gets busted multiple times, maybe the NBA gives him a serious suspension, maybe he stops acting out to preserve his image and ego. Best case - Harden is just being Harden. He liked to party before he wanted a trade (see delayed entry to bubble), and he likes to party after he requested a trade (see now). In this scenario, we may see some major pouting, possibly strained relationships and "uncomfortable" moments... especially during press conferences. The unfortunate thing is, I think this makes it clear that the best case scenario is probably not going to be great for us fans until the NBA is off of Covid protocols. After that, he could potentially play out the remainder of his contract relatively-peacefully, or this could end and we trade him for a huge package.
