WOJ - Harden wanted Wall over WB

Its not like Woj sits down with the GMs when these trades are made

 

Surprised that Washington even included a pick with Wall, though. Everyone and their grandma knew Westbrook wanted out - the longer Washington waited, the more likely it would have been a straight up swap of Wall and Westbrook.

Not sure why Washington didn't hold out as we get deeper into December.

Did Harden also chase him out of Atlanta-Washington-Charlotte-Los Angeles too?

Though, It would be really hilarious if Morey does acquire him and the first thing he does is exile Howard.

Just like the Rockets, Washington wants to build chemistry and win now. This trade will lead to more wins for Washington and Westbrook will do well in the East... I think it was a good trade for both teams.

 

Harden changes more partners than a hooker in Pathrump.

 

Did Woj (or any very reliable source) ever say that Harden really wanted Westbroke? Or that he wanted Paul gone? I've always gotten the impression that trade happened because Tilman wanted a change, and just sold low on Paul because he thought Worstbrook would sell tickets.

 

You guys are missing the silver lining in all of this.

If Harden is a Rockets next year, there is absolutely no chance he can "prefer" a worst contract to trade Wall for.

His preference of CP3 to WB to Wall is basically 10ish, 2, to 1 in rankings of worst contracts in the league.

I don't disagree completely but at the same time, for someone who doesn't want to be here (in Harden), he sure does have a lot of input on what is going to happen in the future. That is troubling to me.

 

Westbrook was atrociously bad. He made me miss Lin, Beverley and Prigioni.

 

Thats not true. We can trade Wall for Klay Thompson if they dont mesh this year.

But Harden and Westbrook are supposed to be best friends and now after just one season, they can't play together?? And yes Wall won't average a triple double mainly because he will probably never see the court.

 

Yeah, it was pretty definitively proven, the Rockets would have been better off with Westbrook nailed to the bench, he was a net negative more often than not, especially in the playoffs.

They had to tailor the team to Westbook due to his shortcomings as a player, and it negatively effected the team. They won't have to do that with Wall.
