Tinman was never going to sign an expensive coach. Real candidates are Silas and Cassell. Both super super cheap and the rest of the akills don’t really matter with this owner. We will get the Schumpert of coaches.

He’s overrated, but wanted him because he would have ended Morey’s small ball.

Put Doc's arm into the Sacred Hemorrhoid.

    If it burns he's unpure.

Well, he was fired because he wouldn't play big when it was to his advantage so who knows what would have happened.

maybe...?? But probably most coaches would to an extent.

it’s not small ball that’s the problem. It’s super ****ing small ball.

you want the same small ball skills. But with bigger players.

hence rumors like targeting Myles Turner. Cause he can hit threes and while he won’t be as good at switching on d as PJ or Covington, he can do it half decently while being much better at interior defense.

Heat, Clippers, Celtics, even Nuggets have all accomplished this better than the Rockets. Jokic for example spreads the floor fine offensively. Even the Lakers went smaller against the Rockets... but their smaller included LBJ and AD.

my point being... any new coach is going to point out the obvious.

Glad we dodged that bullet. I had flashbacks of hiring Mchale just for his name.

I'm still hoping for Lue then Silas.

Yall just nostalgic about Sam I am. It probably only a few bad games for him to get into a fist fight with James Harden and Westbrook if he is our head coach. Book it. He is having none of the Dantoni's big picture of mind to let them do whatever they want. Van Gundy is probably just going to pawn James into shame and make Westbrook and PJ his players of the game every game.

Can Jeff really work with a system there is no big man? I am not questioning him and he is awfully smart. He wouldn't want this job unless he sees something of value for him to try. He is making a nice income at ESPN with no stress. so I hope he sees something we dont.
