Not to be lost in the Oregon disaster: republicans in their state legislature have held a walkout b/c they didn't like not having the votes to stop cap-and-trade legislation they didn't like. Also stalled and currently dead: a bill to help prepare Oregon to fight future wildfires. The votes are there for that one too, but by parliamentary rules, they can't vote without the quorum.

Oregonians need to keep voting like their lives depend on it, because they literally do. Same goes for every American.
