Concentrated black poverty is the result of centuries of white exclusion from the governmental legislative and city planning stage all the way down to white social customs. to say nothing of all the bullshit that goes on in job and internship recruiting, promotion, retention and apartment leasing. Listen to the Dollop episode about Levittown or school busing in Boston.

 

I find it weird that there are no people around in any of the shots where she is walking. But I'd love to ask her what she thinks about the police failing those communities.
