If this is the Watson era, the first goal of the offense should always be establish Deshaun early, since he is a rhythm passer. You can always hb dive if that sputters. Maybe calling that, means exactly that . So when a team has awful Cornerbacks but an excellent D-line you won't force it inside that line. Hoping for the best, expecting the opposite.

Chiefs are returning what, 20 of 22 starters? We’re so far out of their league it’s not even funny. We have no shot against them. What’s changed in 7 months? The addition of Cooks, Johnson some backup DB and deletion of Hop and Reader? Our defense still lacks solid CB play and that isn’t changing. I like Weaver but he isn’t a magician. GTFO. We have no shot. I don’t care if we had 10 first rounders this year. We’re a solid—at best—5th or so best team in the NFL, and were much closer to 10th or 11th.
